It's been a while
Sorry it's been so long since I have posted anything. I have been so busy with life, diabetes & school. Exams are coming up and it has been playing a big role on my sugar. Monday I missed school because my pump started yelling no delivery (like always), but the wierd thing is that my pump had a full resevior of insulin?! My sugar was 511 so again I had to go home! I need to get things under control because missing this much school is not good with exams right around the corner. I am nervous, but I am not ya know? But I have to keep my self from stressing because as soon as I get stressed up my sugar goes! It just seems that there is not enough hours in a day to do everything I want to. My mom keeps getting onto my case because I always forget to check my sugar at lunch, but it seems like I always have something better to do, but my sugar needs to come before anything! Ok back to the day I had to go home early... it took me 5 hours to get it to a normal level. When it did come down though it was 83 which made me feel like crap. I hate that feeling! When you have a high all day then it comes down really fast you feel like you could just pass out and not be back for days. I guess that is one of the things about being a diabetic!

Hi Cassie,
Sorry to hear that you had a bad day with high BG's! Any idea what was going on with the pump (crimped cannula, etc?)?
If being diabetic does anything, it teaches us to be adaptable and resilient. I'm confident you'll get things under control.
An easy first step is to check your blood sugar at lunch. It's a quick thing - doesn't take too long. Devote a minute to yourself and get that reading. It will help.
The cannula was trying to come out the other side of my skin. It was curving up. Wierd huh?
I hope I get things under control. Thinks for being so positive.
Yes... I do need to start devoting time to my self. But I dont want to feel so selfish. Ya know?
